Come to Basically

As I had written in the first entry of the year, one of the projects that I have the honour of being a part of this year is Basically.

We are a pretty new team that consists of people from different industries coming together with the common purpose of finding ways in using their various expertise and disciplines to create social awareness and to give back to the community.

The first instalment, Basically, 01, was held at Broun Cafe last October and we invited a landscape artist, the Havana Brown Quartet, Roxie J and D’fusion, film-makers and Nick Chim as part of our line-up. If you’re interested in how a landscape artist fits into the picture, take a look here, I have great respect for what he does. Film-makers Jeremy Boo and Lee Xian Jie talked about their documentary “Before we Forget”, their focus and inspiration of which I found really touching.

Basically, 02 is happening on Friday, 24Feb, and admission is free!!! Look at the event page and click “ATTENDING”. I’ll still be in Africa when that is happening but I assure you that it will be well worth your time.

And just to prove it (brace yourselves), here are some photos I took from Basically, 01. We have a video too that’s on the way which I will link as soon as I can!
