A mela.de.gypsie Christmas

And just like that, Christmas 2012 is Christmas Past. But why should we even stop the celebrating? It still feels like Christmas stretches on to even until the New Year comes. I guess when Christmas leftovers start becoming last year’s leftovers is when we know is the season for celebration (and excessive guilt-free gorging) should stop.

I’ve to say I’m pretty proud of my cards, my heart does a happy dance whenever I examine them. When I first sent them to the printer I was agonising over how many of each design I should print, wondering if anyone would ever want them, and now, I am struggling to keep a good sized stack for myself.

And yet, I’ve already left a stack of them at a few of my favourite local shops for you guys! Free-of-charge! Just because it is (still) Christmas! Did I mention FREE?

So, do go down and show Books Actually, Cat Socrates and The Little Drom Store some holiday loving! And to see my cards in real life, of course!

I hope you love them as much as I do!

Look, It’s Snowing!

As much as it can in tropical Singapore. Spoiler alert: It’s fake snow (figures). Although I’d have to say that silver confetti falls very prettily.

These were some of the outtakes from the last part of my postcard shoot, taken when I was going for that perfect image. Thought they all looked good together in an animated gif. I am very thankful for a good-natured model and great assistants! All-in-all, it was ultimately rewarding.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!!!

Esther :: The many faces of…

PinExt Esther :: The many faces of... portraiture family 2 babies

All babies are significant miracles of life, and such a precious gift to families. To her parents, Margaret and Nam Heng, baby Esther was that; a miracle, God’s answer to their prayers, a gift that was made exponentially more precious through their patient waiting.

I wouldn’t say that I know the complete nature of all the babies of the world, but I would like to think that I have seen my fair share of kids to say that Esther was a very easy baby to work with, she even let me carry her with no fussing at all! Although she didn’t appear to be actively posing for the camera, she fell into a comfort zone really quickly so it made it easy for me to just snap away.

Margaret and Nam Heng, it was a special joy that you invited me into your home to capture such warm and comfortable moments between all in your family, Kiki the Sheltie included.
